» Amador Tennis Club is proud to announce that its 7th season of Junior Team Tennis will take place April 17-May 22. Boys & girls ages 7-14 play doubles on co-ed teams in three ability levels: beginning, intermediate and advanced. » First 5 Amador presents a new mom’s support group in sharing the practical and emotional concerns of navigating new motherhood held every Thursday starting March 18th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Sutter Amador Hospital. Babies are welcome, and the group is free of charge. For more information, call (530) 622-2899.
» A Free Prenatal Fitness Program is held on Saturday’s at #8 Court Street in Jackson. Space is limited so call today at 304-8495.

» The Jackson Elks Lodge offer’s Tasty Taco’s the 1st Wednesday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m.  The cost is $1.50 per taco. Funds support local charities. For more information, call 223-1905
» TOPS Take off Pounds Sensibly is a weigh loss group that provides support and makes losing weight fun. The group meets every Monday night from 5 to 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in West Point.  For more information, call Gloria at 293-4699.
» The Amador County Arts Council’s 10th Annual T.G.I.F. Summer Music Series presents free live concerts every Friday at various locations in Amador County starting at 6 pm.  For more information, call the Arts Council at 267-9038.
» The Kennedy Mine Foundation is looking to recruit new volunteers to help with the increasing tours at the Mine.  Call the Mine office for more information at 223-9542.

The Argonaut Gym will be open on Tuesday mornings from 10 am to 12 pm and Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 pm.  Basketball will play court and a net will be set for Volleyball or Badminton.  The cost is $5.00 per day.  For more information, call ACRA 223-6349.

» The Amador County Country Flea Market at Colburn Park, located behind the Amador County Fairgrounds will be held every first Saturday of each the month starting in June.  For more information or space rental, call Linda at 245-3192.
» First 5 Amador is releasing a Request for Qualifications for Family Resource Centers.  A successful applicant will provide localized educational and social resources to families in the unincorporated areas of Amador County to families with children ages 0 to 5. » Enjoy Music at Back Roads Coffee House on Friday Nights in Sutter Creek.  There will be a $5 cover charge, and a bistro menu is available!
» "Just Begin Again" is a women’s cancer support group that meets the first Friday of each month at 1 pm at the Amador Senior Center on New York Ranch Road.  For more information, call 296-2187.
» The Kennedy Mine hosts tours every Saturday, Sunday & holidays 10 am to 3 pm at the mine in Jackson.  Special group tours may be arranged on other days by calling the mine at 223-9542.
» On the 2nd Saturday of each month the Feed Barn has an adoption event for second chance dogs by APAL Humane Society. For more information, give us a call here at HomeTown Radio.
» The Look Good Feel Better Class, for women going through cancer treatment. Presented the first Monday of each month.  To sign up for the class or for more information, call Amador STARS at 223-1246.
» The Argonaut High School Science Club is accepting used ink jet and laser cartridge donations.  Drop off any donations at the office of Argonaut High School.  For more information call Kelsi at 257-7739.
» Has your concern for a loved one’s drinking turned your life upside down? Al-Anon Family Groups can help.  Join the group at 107 Water Street in Jackson, on Sunday’s at 11:30 am, Thursday’s at noon, and Fridays at 7:30 pm.
» Anyone with a self contained RV that is interested in joining a fun travel group is invited to join the RV Travel Club, a local group of RV owners.  The club participates in six events a year within 200 miles of Jackson and one caravan trip 14 days within the Western United States.  For more information, call Gary at 772-9936. 
» The Castle Oaks Golf Club is offering a Girls Golf Program.  Girls ages 7 to 17 are welcome to come learn the fundamentals of golf.  Lessons are given the first and second Saturday of each month.  The registration cost is $30 dollars.  For more information contact the Castle Oaks Golf Shop at 274-2290.
» Hospice of Amador offers walk-in bereavement groups twice a week at the Hospice of Amador office at 1500 South Highway 49.  The meetings are every Tuesday at 10 am and Wednesdays at 3 pm.  There is no charge. For more information call 223-5500.
» The Upcountry Seniors Association will hold a potluck and bingo the second Friday of every month.  It will be held at the Veterans Hall on Buckhorn Road in Pioneer from 11:30am to 3:30 pm.  For more information, call Eve at 295-7375.
» Music classes are offered by the Upcountry Community Center and taught by John Covert at the Pine Grove Town Hall, from 5:30 to 6 pm there will be a beginners classes, and from 6 to 8 pm there will be advanced “workshop” class.  Lessons are $5 per class. For more information call 223-0902.

There is an oil painting class at the Plymouth City Hall every Friday from 1 to 3:30 pm.  Anyone interested should attend. Fore more information call Marilyn at 245-6101.

» The Amador Christian Singles group meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 pm at the First Baptist Church of Jackson on highway 49 and 88 across from Jon’s Pit Stop.  For more information on this group call Vic at 296-5358.
